Council Launches Consultation to Shape New Homelessness Strategy

East Staffordshire Borough Council has recently launched a consultation on a new Homelessness Review to inform the development of a new Homelessness Strategy, set to take effect when the 2018 – 2023 strategy comes to an end.

The Council is seeking the public’s views and invites comments on the draft Homelessness Review so that a finalised document can form the best basis for the new Homelessness Strategy.

Those wanting to comment on the draft review can do so by emailing HousingStrategy@eaststaffsbc.gov.uk.

Residents are asked to submit any comments by Friday 14th August 2023.

Cllr Simon Slater, Cabinet Member for Communities and Regulatory Services, said: “The Council’s Homelessness Strategy is vital to the ongoing provision of homelessness assistance across the Borough. We are seeking the public’s views to help ensure all voices are heard on this important matter. If you wish to share your views on the draft Homelessness Review, please email the Council before the deadline of Friday 14th August.”

The draft Homelessness Review, along with other supporting documents, can be found on the Council’s website.
