“Illusions Exhibition” comes to The Brewhouse

The group of artists known as ‘Cover-Uncover’ use a variety of media including Painting (oil and acrylic), collage, printmaking and digital art and are inspired by their different backgrounds. The four artists use and explore different facets of ‘illusion’ to reach the viewer’s imagination.

Two artists use printing processes (old and new) to promote the sense of space, and narrative as well as to evoke absent physical objects.

Another artist uses colourful digital art to promote contrasting mental perspectives on life.

A fourth artist, uses oil paint and the tradition of the painted stage backdrop, to present light and perspective.

Councillor Bernard Peters, Deputy Leader for Community and Regulatory Services, said: “It’s great to see such a contemporary exhibition coming to the Brewhouse. The exhibition is free and is open for a month starting from 1st March, so I’d encourage you to go and take a look.”
