Cash Boost to Local Businesses as £100,000 Business Springboard Boost scheme to be launched

Are you a business leader or do you work for a business based in East Staffordshire that is thinking of expanding? Are you an entrepreneur thinking of setting up in business? Then you may be eligible to apply for funding to give your business a boost!

Dozens of businesses across East Staffordshire are set to benefit from East Staffordshire Borough Council’s latest injection of cash delivered through its Business Springboard Boost.

Businesses can apply for funding from anywhere between £500 up to £10,000, with both established businesses and fledgling ‘start-ups’ encouraged to apply.  Businesses must be willing to match the funding – so for each £1 the Council commits, businesses need to match this with £1.

Councillor George Allen, Deputy Leader for Regeneration & Planning Policy said:

“We’re delighted to be able to launch this new scheme. Unlike other funds out there to support local businesses, the Business Springboard Boost scheme is open to businesses that work with the general public, so we hope this will bridge a vital gap in the support available to the local business community.”

The scheme will launch on Monday 19th April 2021.  Interested local businesses should contact the Enterprise Team at East Staffordshire Borough Council who are happy to talk to businesses about their growth plans, and to check their eligibility before they submit applications.
