Markets make an excellent platform for launching lean businesses and 2021 is the year of the Young Market Trader. Burton Market Hall is working with a wide range of operators across the UK to support and develop traders for the future as part of the National Market Trader Federation's, Young Trader programme.
In a collaborative approach to nurturing and supporting young traders between the ages of 16-30, Burton Market Hall will host a dedicated Young Trader Market on Saturday 3rd July 2021.
This market forms part of a national competition, which will see successful Young Traders progress into the regional finals. The regionals finals are to be held in the summer of 2021 and if successful the winning Young Trader(s) will be put forward to take part in the national finals, to be held in Stratford upon Avon in the late summer.
Any Young Traders interested in joining Burton Market Hall for the East Staffordshire Young Trader Market will receive the following benefits:
Traders attending the Young Trader market on Saturday 3rd July will be able to trade for free, and East Staffordshire Borough Council can help to provide the necessary insurance cover for just £3 for the day.
Selected by the judges the top 4 traders will have the opportunity to trade at the regional event representing East Staffordshire.
Also, the top 4 traders will receive the opportunity to trade at Burton Market Hall for up to 4 weeks for free.
