Eton Park Ward Councillor Representation

East Staffordshire Borough Council has announced that two serving Councillors will represent Eton Park ward constituents until a by-election can be held.

The announcement follows the suspension of the Eton Park ward by-election which was due to take place on Thursday 26th March.

Councillors Ken Builth (Labour) and Deneice Florence-Jukes (Independent), both of whom are ward members for Horninglow, will represent Eton Park constituents until a by-election can be held in the future.

All local polls are postponed until 6th May 2021 under regulations set out in the Coronavirus Act 2020.

Andy O’Brien, Chief Executive for East Staffordshire Borough Council, said: “I’m thankful to both Councillors for volunteering to represent the constituents of Eton Park ward. This is an uncertain time and I’m pleased that the residents of Eton Park will have Councillor representation until a by-election can be legally held.”

Councillor Deneice Florence-Jukes said: “I very much welcome the opportunity to be a temporary Borough Council representative for the people of Eton Park Ward. Please contact me with any issues or concerns you may have and I will do my utmost to assist in any way I can.”

Councillor Ken Builth added: “I’m pleased to be able represent the constituents of Eton Park Ward. I can be contacted on 01283 520330 or by emailing ken.builth@eaststaffsbc.gov.uk if any residents want to discuss any concerns they might have.”
