The phased reopening, which won’t yet include any live performances, will enable visitors to take part in small socially distanced activities and workshops, whilst following new guidelines.
Cllr Ed Barker, Deputy Leader for Leisure, Culture and Tourism said: “I am so pleased that we are able to reopen the Brewhouse, it has been a long time coming. Whilst the reopening will be a steady process, we are looking forward to being able to reintroduce some popular activities to our customers.
“The staff of the Arts Centre have been working extremely hard to make sure that when the venue reopens it will be a safe environment. New measures will be in operation to ensure the safety of visitors and staff, which includes, a one way system, hand sanitiser points, social distancing and additional cleaning procedures”.
The reopening will see the introduction of a number of exciting activities taking place throughout August including Burton Swans outdoor sculpture trail from Saturday 8 August; discover the 25 swans in and around Burton.
Brewhouse staff will also be popping up in local parks with family activities (that can be done whilst social distancing) as well as a new art installation at the Brewhouse for families to contribute to.
Successful online activities and events will also continue, including storytelling, mini makers crafts, singing and dance.
