Brewhouse announces Summer Programme

The Brewhouse Arts Centre in Burton upon Trent has recently announced its summer programme, which features a wide range of shows, events, workshops and exhibitions.

As well as a packed full schedule of performances from local amateur dramatics groups, including Little Theatre Company, The Mellow Dramatics and Cabaret Theatre Company, the programme includes the return of Brewhouse On Tour this summer holidays, which will see a range of workshops, live street theatre and family activities popping up in parks and open spaces across East Staffordshire.

Well known comedian Jon Richardson also returns to The Brewhouse stage in June, with his current Work In Progress, as do Folk Music superstars, The Fairport Convention.

The Brewhouse is also proud to be working with Making Trails Events to host The Big Burton Jubilee, a two day family event to celebrate the 70 year reign of HRH Queen Elizabeth II and the launch of The Big Burton Carousel Sculpture Trail.

There is also a comprehensive workshop programme with a whole host of weekly sessions to learn new skills, meet new friends and have fun!

Councillor Bev Ashcroft, Cabinet Member for Tourism and Cultural Development said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer such a fantastic range of events this summer, not just at the Brewhouse but at our parks around the Borough. I’d encourage everyone to take a look at our summer programme.”
