On Monday 14th February, Officers from East Staffordshire Borough Council’s Horticultural team planted an avenue of hornbeam trees at Pennycroft Park in Uttoxeter. They were joined by local schools including, St Marys Primary School, Tynsel Parks Primary School and St Joseph’s Primary School.

The group of artists known as ‘Cover-Uncover’ use a variety of media including Painting (oil and acrylic), collage, printmaking and digital art and are inspired by their different backgrounds. The four artists use and explore different facets of ‘illusion’ to reach the viewer’s imagination.

After an outstanding run of 13 consecutive gold medals in the Heart of England in Bloom competition, Burton upon Trent has seen its success rewarded with a place in the RHS Britain in Bloom finals for 2022.

Burton Market Hall will host a number of family activities this February Half Term on Saturday 26th February.

On Monday 7th February East Staffordshire Borough Council’s Horticultural Team organised a Tree Planting event at Shobnall Playing Fields. The team planted an avenue of 20 Hornbeam trees to create the Queen’s Jubilee Avenue to Commemorate the Queen’s Jubilee.

Burton Market Hall announces they will be hosting an increased schedule for the Craft Markets during 2022, starting on Saturday 5th February.

Shoppers can expect a wide range of makers and traders from across the local area, selling a range of hand made and unique items.
