What can go into the blue bag?

  • All types of cardboard
  • Toilet and kitchen roll inners
  • Cereal boxes/food sleeves
  • Plain greetings cards
  • Newspapers and magazines
  • Brown paper
  • Junk mail
  • Brochures
  • Envelopes
  • All telephone directories and other white papers

If you have extra cardboard, tear or flatten the pieces to the size of your blue bag, secure together (not in any type of bag or bin liner) and leave beside your blue bag for collection. If you regularly have excess cardboard you can request an additional blue bag free of charge by calling 0800 269098 or emailing environment@eaststaffsbc.gov.uk.

When is the blue bin and bag collected?

We collect on bank holidays (excluding Christmas and New Year).

What happens if your blue bag goes missing?
