Uttoxeter Leisure Centre Fitness Classes

Our fantastic range of fitness classes can be accessed on a pay as you go basis, or by taking out a Premier Fitness Membership – entitling you to unlimited weekly attendances to fitness classes as well as the gym. Below is a description of some of our classes which can be found on our timetable.

Class Description
Abs An abdominal workout with a focus on core strength and stability to improve your body shape and improve those ab muscles. Get your body ready with these 30 minute blasts.
Aqua Aerobics Our water-based classes are low impact, high energy aquatic workouts blending the latest beats with water resistance, looking after your joints whilst helping to tone those muscles.
BTT (Bums, Tums & Thighs) A great workout using varied equipment to improve toning in those areas you really want to hit.
Boot Camp Incorporating functional exercises and training to give the body the ultimate workout using equipment of all shapes and sizes.
Circuits Our circuit classes vary in intensity and exercises to provide a range of group baded functional workouts. Circuits have been a staple in the fitness industry for as long as we can remember and there is certainly a reason why, you work to your ability and get the results you want.
Dancercise A dynamic and fun exercise class that put you through your paces, burns calories all whilst having fun to the high tempo soundtracks. With this class you’ll have fun, tone up and leave feeling energised.
Healthy Hearts This is a circuit class aimed at getting your heart fit, healthy and active! This low intensity circuit class aims to give you a short 4 minute burst of healthy heart activity followed by 2 minutes of light active recovery. Great for people looking for a low impact, low intensity class or people with health/heart conditions looking to manage their fitness.
HIIT High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is a type of cardio training in which you alternate short, very high intensity intervals with longer, slower intervals to recover, improving the ability of the muscles to burn fat.
Kettlebells Kettlebells use dynamic moves to target almost every aspect of fitness- endurance, strength, balance, agility and cardio. Kettlebell training will work your core hard and strengthen your back against everyday life.
Pilates Beginners or basic Pilates in order to ensure participants can hold the best positions. Our instructor recommends a 12 week program before participants are ready for a more advanced Pilates session.
Recovery Yoga This class is a lower intensity yoga class, which is perfect for stretching and recovery after a long week of intense classes. Includes stretches balances and breathing techniques that raise the heart beat and energises the muscles.
Spin Our most popular class! A vigorous workout, burning calories and designed to help keep your muscles in shape. Our instructors will encourage and motivate you to push yourself during these classes.
Sun Salute Yoga This is a beginner’s yoga class, which can be adapted as the participants become more experienced. Awaken the body and mind and prepare for the day through the ancient sun salutation routine. Includes stretches, balances and breathing techniques that raise the heart beat and energise the muscles.
Tabata Training The new way to get in shape, torch fat and get the body you want! Using mainly bodyweight exercises the Tabata training system allows for short bursts of fat burning exercises that will reduce body fat. 

Please note classes described may or may not be on our timetable due to season or instructor variances – make sure you have the most up to date timetable and check at reception for time or class changes at time of booking.

Please consult a doctor before participating in any activity. If you are pregnant, have any medical conditions or any significant changes to your health you must make your instructor aware of this.

Please use the changing areas and lockers provided for all personal belongings. Appropriate clothing and footwear for the activity you are taking part in must be worn.

Before starting your workout please remember to pay or show your membership card at the main Reception. Please keep your receipt and show it to your instructor on entering the gym or class.

Bring a towel with you on each visit and wipe down equipment after use. Bring water with you and drink before, during and after your class or workout to avoid dehydration.

If there is continually less than 4 people attending a fitness class it may be taken of the timetable.

14-15 years olds are permitted to take part in fitness classes at the instructor’s discretion.

Fitness Class Cancellation Policy

Fitness classes may be cancelled up to 24hrs before they start. We reserve the right to charge in full, for the activity in question, all customers failing to attend or provide the correct cancellation notice period.
