General Information

Shobnall Leisure Complex has level access into the venue with a main wide automatic door system and a second set of double automatic doors. The reception desk/counter is on a level ground and has a low section. We can provide literature in large font and Braille if requested.

Assistance dogs are welcome when accompanied by their owners/handlers. A bowl of water can be provided for an assistance dog.

Car Park

The car park is free for all users and is located in front of the venue. There are 3 marked disabled parking bays and the route from the car park to the entrance is accessible to a wheelchair user unaided (the nearest bay is 100m away from the main entrance). There is not a bus stop within 150m (164yds) of the venue; the nearest National Rail station is Burton upon Trent.

Inside Access

There is level access to this service. Motorised scooters are allowed in the public parts of the venue.

Pitch Access

This information is for the entrance located at the rear of the venue leading to the track and pitches. There is a main automatic door system. A ramp/slope to access this service area is located in front of the entrance.

Hearing Loop

Shobnall Leisure Complex has a hearing assistance system, a fixed loop, installed in the reception area and staff are trained to use the system.

Accessible Toilet

There are accessible toilet facilities with Braille, tactile, pictorial and written text signage on or near the toilet door. It is located past reception on the left hand side and a radar key, available from the reception, is required.

Changing Areas

There are two accessible changing rooms available and the door opens outwards. They include:

  • Wall-mounted rails
  • A low toilet and flip down shower seat
  • A shower with an adjustable shower head
  • An emergency alarm with a pull cord
