Burton Towns Fund Programme submitted to Government

I was really pleased to attend today’s [Thursday 24th March] Burton Town Deal Board meeting. Following the approval from Councillors earlier this week the main item on the agenda was to agree and sign the final submission and send it off to the Government. The programme is a once in a lifetime opportunity to transform Burton upon Trent and I am looking forward to the fantastic enhancements ESBC will be working to deliver on the Molson Coors site. The projects will make Burton a better place to live, work and visit and I’m pleased we have now submitted the Burton Towns Fund programme to Government. ESBC will continue to progress further regeneration projects outside of this programme as we continue to focus our attention on TC transformation.

I have also written to Kate Griffiths MP to ask for her assistance to ensure Burton gets the full allocation of £23.8m from the Government, levelling up, driving a economic growth for many years to come.
