Uttoxeter and Denstone Neighbourhood Plan Referenda

Two key planning documents are going to the polls on Thursday 2nd February in East Staffordshire. Electors in Uttoxeter and Denstone will be able to vote on their Neighbourhood Plans between 7am and 10pm on polling day.

Councillor Julia Jessel, Deputy Leader for Planning and Neighbourhoods, said: “Following a lengthy consultation process, Uttoxeter and Denstone’s draft Neighbourhood Plans are ready to go to the polls. The plan includes policies on design, heritage and the town centre, amongst others.

“This vote gives all Uttoxeter and Denstone residents, businesses and community groups the opportunity to shape the future of their town.”

These latest Neighbourhood Plans are two of seventeen being written in East Staffordshire. 

The Uttoxeter Neighbourhood Plan has been written by a steering group made up of community representatives and Town Councillors and has been extensively consulted on over the past 3 years.  The Plan includes policies influencing housing design, open spaces, the town centre and transport amongst others, up to 2031.

The Denstone Plan, written by a group of residents and parish councillors in conjunction with the community, was started in 2014.  The Plan looks at housing locations, design, landscape character and green spaces, amongst others and runs until 2031.
