Over £600 raised for Macmillan at Meadowside Leisure Centre Coffee Morning

Staff and members at Meadowside Leisure Centre have raised £603.03 at a Macmillan Coffee Morning held on Friday 30th September.

Pam Easton, a regular at the leisure centre, approached the catering team to see whether it would be possible to hold the coffee morning, which they were happy to do. Pam baked lots of cakes herself and also collected several raffle prizes to help make the day a success.

Councillor Colin Whittaker, Deputy Leader for Cultural Services, said: “I would like to thank to thank Pam, Nicola, the catering team at the leisure centre and all who supported the coffee morning by baking, donating prizes and attending on the day.”

Macmillan Cancer Support work tirelessly to give advice and information to those with cancer and their families, as well as providing nurses to help sufferers in their own homes.
