East Staffordshire Borough Council are pleased to, once again, be hosting a wide range of performances and events this festive period, with activities taking place throughout November and December at Burton Market Hall and Place, the Brewhouse Arts Centre and Burton Town Hall.
The programme kicks off on Sunday 25th November with the annual Christmas lights switch on in Burton Market Place. The day will start with a Christmas Market and entertainment from 2:00pm, followed by the lights switch on and fireworks display at 5:00pm.
From Wednesday 28th to Friday 30th November, Burton Town Hall will welcome Mimbre’s The Exploded Circus to Burton upon Trent for the very first time, where audiences can step into the moment where an explosion has been frozen in time!
On Saturday 1st December the Market Hall and place will host its first Winter Festival. Developed in partnership with Burton Small Business to celebrate Small Business Saturday, visitors can expect to browse products from over 30 local traders. A week later, on Saturday 8th December, Burton Market Hall will also host its annual Christmas Craft Market, providing the perfect place to pick up that unique gift.
On Tuesday 11th December the Brewhouse will welcome comedian Ivo Graham for an evening of pre-Christmas fun and laughter.
Younger audiences get their opportunity to celebrate Christmas with a visit from The Santa Show at the Brewhouse Arts Centre on Wednesday 19th December. Children can enjoy an adventure of fun, festive songs and party games, when the show finishes the adventure continues as children head to the North Pole to receive a special gift from Santa!
The events draw to a close on Saturday 22nd December as acclaimed musicians, Green Matthews bring their Yuletide Songs tour to the Brewhouse Arts Centre.
