14th Annual Able Too Fun Games 2017

The Annual ‘Able Too Fun Games’ is to be held at the Meadowside Leisure Centre on Sunday 17th September 2017 between 10:00am and 4:00pm.

The Able Too Forum, in partnership with East Staffordshire Borough Council’s Sports Development Team, are once again organising an event for people with disabilities. The Able Too Fun Games aims to encourage children and adults to participate in sporting activities, learn new skills, improve their social skills and make new friends.

At the event all existing sports and community clubs will be promoted and the participants encouraged to continue taking part in Sport and Physical Activity.

The Able Too Fun Games will include activities such as Football, Cricket, Swimming, self-defence, Badminton, Trampolining, Rebound Therapy, Canoeing, Indoor Bowls, Circus Skills from Magical Mayhem and access to the indoor play area.

Councillor Colin Whittaker, Deputy Leader for Cultural Services said: “Last year we had 95 people with disabilities, plus their families, take part in what was a very enjoyable day. Everyone tried different activities; it really was a day for all ages.

“This year’s event promises to be as popular as ever and we hope families will pick up some of our literature which promotes our regular weekly activities. We really want to encourage those attending to take part in regular sport & physical activity in the future.”
