Hi my name is Rani Kaur and I work as a Community and Civil Enforcement officer for East Staffordshire Borough Council.
As part of my job role I investigate and enforce against day to day environmental crimes that affect our communities and neighbourhoods. These can relate to; littering, dog fouling, parking, fly tipping, anti-social behaviour, waste recycling and much more. I work alongside my team to discourage such behaviour, and where necessary take enforcement action by issuing Fixed Penalty Notices or Penalty Charge Notices to offenders. I am also part of the local Joint Operations Group where I meet with representatives from other partner agencies including the Police, ASB team, fire services, local housing associations, drugs and alcohol services and the enforcement team to identify hotspots within the areas that need urgent attention.
You will probably see me on my community walks in various different areas across the borough, liaising with residents and local schools and businesses to promote a positive change in our current surrounding and in the future of East Staffordshire.
I am sure you will agree that environmental crime and anti-social behaviour has become a major concern for many of us, with action needed to illuminate this problem. So let’s work together to tackle these issues and create a safer, cleaner and greener environment for us all to enjoy and feel proud about!
I will look at ways to resolve the problem or if not point you in the direction of someone who can. I am looking forward to making a positive impact in our community! Working with the community for the community.
I work on a part time basis, Wednesday and Thursday, but if you would like to report any issues or have any concerns within your area just give me a call.
