Community and Civil Enforcement

The Community and Civil Enforcement Team cover residents issues like dog fouling, littering and parking, to name just a few. They are the first line of contact for the community, and focus on engagement, education and enforcement. They are the eyes and ears for the other enforcement areas within the Council.

Part of the Officer’s role is to enforce legislation by the issuance of Fixed Penalty Notices.

Community and Civil Enforcement Officers educate and enforce parking issues in East Staffordshire. They are authorised to issue Penalty Charge Notices to vehicles parked illegally on council owned car parks.

Community and Civil Enforcement Officers work with numerous partner agencies on joint initiatives which focus on particular areas in the borough that highlight issues, in the hope they will make a difference.

Community and Civil Enforcement Officers work with local schools to educate the children of the effects of illegal parking and littering.

If Community and Civil Enforcement Officers can’t help Community and Civil Enforcement Officers will pass on details to those who can.
