Christmas Lights Switch On & Fireworks

Start the festive season in style, with a visit to the annual lights switch on and Fireworks, which this year’s includes a main stage with live music and entertain, funfair, outdoor stalls and fireworks. Burton Market Hall will also be open late, so be sure to call in for festive treats from a range of local traders

Little Theatre Company presents a riotous comedy following Mole, Rat, Badger, and the impulsive Mr. Toad, whose insatiable need for speed lands him in serious trouble. Based on Kenneth Grahame’s best-selling classic of children’s literature, ‘The Wind in the Willows’ is a wild, thrill-seeking tale, perfect for the whole family to enjoy.

A jam packed day of festive activities for the whole family to enjoy, including making clay robins, wooden tree decorations and funky festive snowman, plus we’ll have a visit from Santa with some special eco-friendly gifts from 12pm. As darkness falls, the activities continue into the evening with a screening of ‘The Grinch’ on a giant pop up cinema. Can the grumpy Grinch (Benedict Cumberbatch) ruin Christmas for the village of Whoville? Bring your own seating, blankets, pillows and onesies. Refreshments will be available from the bar.

Featuring Christmas carols, winter folk songs, toe-tapping tunes and a plethora of weird and wonderful instruments, the show is brought to life with GreenMatthews’ trademark wit and humour.
