All items to be collected must be left
OUTSIDE in a location which is readily accessible to the collectors and which does not cause any obstructions. Items
must not be left on the public highway.
Unfortunately we cannot specify a collection date.
We will collect domestic appliances, furniture and similar household items up to a maximum of 10 items. A 3 piece suite is three items, Bed base and mattress are classed as separate items.
We are unable to collect batteries, boilers, bricks, rubble, broken glass, ceramic baths, garage doors, cement, soil, liquid waste inc. paint, oil and tins/drums, tyres or cast iron products, i.e. baths, rayburn cookers, aga cookers, etc, gas bottles/cylinders, greenhouses, sheds, summerhouses, pianos/organs or sun beds.
We do not collect asbestos.
You can dispose of bulky Items free of charge at the household waste site on
- Shobnall Road, Burton upon Trent or
- Pennycroft Lane, Uttoxeter.

You can use our household Waste and Recycling Facilities in Burton and Uttoxeter
Furniture Collections - The YMCA will collect reusable furniture (including domestic appliances), which is in good condition for a small fee. Contact the YMCA on 01283 547133 for more information.
Bulky Waste Collections - We offer this collection for a fee. Charges are 1-3 items £10.00, then £3.00 per each item after. We only collect a maximum of 10 items.
Soil Conditioner/Water Butts
You can purchase soil conditioner and water butts from the Greenhouse Gardening and Environmental Centre at Stapenhill. For a limited period 220 litre home composters can also be purchased.
