What is Fit For Life?

Fit For Life is a new scheme set up by Uttoxeter Leisure Centre to help you achieve your fitness goals and to provide a support network during your fitness sessions. It is a 12 week programme that aims to get you into a good exercise routine, build confidence in knowing what exercises to do and why, help you on your way to achieving your fitness goals, help with motivation and to improve your knowledge and outlook on exercise, helping you stay fit for life.

First, you will have an initial assessment where you will have your blood pressure, BMI, body fat, weight and waist measurements taken and will receive a Fit For Life pack with fitness information inside. You will then be set up with an individual exercise programme. You will then be required to attend regular sessions throughout the week where you will receive support from the FFL instructor(s) and get to know the rest of the group (you can exercise outside of these times as well throughout the week). There will also be a six week review of your fitness measurements and a final 12 week review of your fitness measurements to see if you’ve achieved your exercise goals.
