Football is played on the six grass pitches at Shobnall Leisure Complex – the largest single number of pitches in the district. These pitches are supported by other pitches provided on the outlying grounds of St Lukes Road, Anglesey Road, Eton Road, Edge hill, Heath Road, Newton Road & Meadow Lane also Pennycroft and Oldfields in Uttoxeter. Most of the football on the grass pitches is organised by the football leagues who regularly use Shobnall for Saturday and Sunday matches.

Burton Junior Football League also use Shobnall Leisure Complex for the venue of their Saturday morning league, currently using a variety of pitches ranging from the six mini soccer pitches to the intermediate pitch for the Under 15’s. These pitches are also available for hire by clubs at other times.
