Approved Suppliers List
East Staffordshire Borough Council will use its approved suppliers list for all contracts with an estimated value of less than £50,000. However we currently only operate an approved suppliers list for the following categories of work:
- Play Equipment and Fencing Inspections, Repairs and Maintenance

| ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS OPPORTUNITY: We are seeking suppliers who are suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake emergency repairs of play equipment, perimeter fencing, gates, associated furniture and other surfaces within the Council’s existing 75 playgrounds.
Operational inspections of play areas
In addition to this East Staffordshire Borough Council is also looking for suppliers who can also carry out operational inspections of play areas according to current EN 1176/1177, Health and Safety Regulations and as recommended by the National Playing Fields Association (NFPA).
Reports
The contractor will provide the client with a fully comprehensive report of the condition of the play area, play equipment and surfacing and ancillary items. The report will prioritise recommendations for necessary repairs which will maintain the play area and its equipment in full working order to assist the client with exercising their duty of care to end users.

Other Categories of Work
For all work in the construction industry (including design and build work, plumbing, electrical), where the estimated contract value is less than £50,000 East Staffordshire Borough Council will only select suppliers using Constructionline.
Constructionline is the UK's largest register of prequalified contractors and consultants and is recommended by the OGC Common Minimum Standards and The Local Government Task Force. With 8,000 buyers already using the Constructionline database to source contractors and consultants, Constructionline is also a great tool to market your organisation.

For all other categories of work not covered by Constructionline or the Council's internal Approved Suppliers Lists, quotations will be sought from suitable suppliers.
Please note that if the estimated value is expected to be above £50,000, then Constructionline or the internal Approved Suppliers Lists CAN NOT be used to select suppliers, and competitive tendering MUST be invited.
