Statutory NuisanceStatutory Nuisance Complaints & Enquiries
Learn more about nuisance complaints here (relating to noise, light & air pollution - including bonfires). The legislation also includes odour & insect nuisance from business premises.
Air QualityAir Quality
Air quality is assessed periodically. Management areas and action plans are devised for areas where air quality is poor.
Climate ChangeClimate Change
We are currently undertaking work not only to improve the Council's own carbon footprint but also to help promote carbon reduction throughout East Staffordshire.

Contaminated LandContaminated Land
We undertake review of planning sites where contamination may be an issue, and also inspect the borough for land contamination.
Private Water SuppliesPrivate Water Supplies
We sample and analyse private (off-mains) water supplies within the borough to ensure quality of the water.
Environmental PermittingEnvironmental Permitting
The regulation and inspection of specific industrial processes that produce emissions to air, land and water.
