Would you like to advise us on access?
If you have some views on access in the East Staffordshire area then we would like to hear from you an East Staffordshire Access Group has been formed to provide opinions and suggestions about access and inclusion in the Borough, particularly relating to existing and proposed buildings, highways and other public areas.
The group is formed of members of the local community with a viewpoint from across a range of disabilities. Members might represent an external organisation or interest group or could be individuals with particular needs or caring concerns. The access group meets regularly and liaises with East Staffordshire Borough Council and other public bodies. The group may also respond to consultations at local or national level.
No particular training is required, just some real enthusiasm for improving access in the local community and the ability to commit some time to be a member. General initial guidance will be available to assist members to ensure that the views of the group are passed on to the right organisation.
Where can I find out more?
For details of the meetings, or if you would like some more information about the group, please email:charlotte.taylor@eaststaffsbc.gov.uk or call 01283 508 504.
