The re-developed Meadowside Leisure Centre, based in Burton upon Trent, is now home to the Borough’s first fully accessible “Changing Places” toilet and changing facility.
Some standard disabled toilets do not meet the needs of all people with a disability, or their carers. Changing Places toilets are different to standard disabled toilets as they have extra features and more space. This facility will make the Meadowside Leisure Centre more accessible for people with disabilities.

The Changing Places Consortium has launched a campaign on behalf of people who cannot use standard accessible toilets. This includes people with profound and multiple learning disabilities and their carers, as well as many other disabled people. For more information visit www.changing-places.org. You can also find details of other Changing Places facilities on this website.
