 Illegal Signs and Fly Posting

Illegal Signs and Fly Posting

In accordance with our procedure the Enforcement Team will investigate where signs have been displayed on items of street furniture without authorisation.

In most cases the signs will have details that provides us with the information we need to instruct the alleged offender on 2 occasions to remove them within a 48 hour period. Failure to remove the signs as requested, will result in us using the evidence we have collected to commence legal action.

Fly posting

On occasions empty properties in particular can become a target for fly posting. Legislation allows us to take action against the company/person carrying out the fly posting, the company/person advertising or the owner of the building. Initially we will instruct the appropriate company/person on 2 occasions to remove the fly posting within 48 hours. Failure to respond within this period will result in us using our evidence to commence legal action.
