The Economic regeneration team is responsible for working in partnership with delivery agencies and the private sector to promote local economic growth and prosperity.
The team delivers a wide range of services as follows:
- Work with InStaffs to promote East Staffordshire as a premier location for inward investment and business expansion
- Delivery of physical regeneration projects such as the Rejuvenating Uttoxeter Townscape Heritage project.
- Work with Job Centre Plus to assist companies with recruitment issues and get unemployed residents back into work
- Delivery of the Council's Tourism Development function.
- Support local businesses to attract new business through the Think Local 4 Business campaign including a local on-line business directory and annual Winning Business Exhibition
- Responsibility for preparing and delivering the Borough Council’s 2007-2012 Economic Regeneration Strategy.
- Work with partners to attract external funding into the Borough to support regeneration and economic development activity.
- Provides a grant finding service FREE OF Charge and offers the Funding Toolkit reference guide to help with bid writing to secure funding from external funding bodies.
