Rockwarm say ...
Why are we doing this? What’s the catch?
• There is no catch!
• This is our quieter time of year – and we want to keep our local installers busy and not have to make redundancies
• As we are a local family run business – we can make savings by doing local work (we won’t be spending so much on diesel for local jobs)
• We are reducing our travel time in between jobs – by insulating local homes.
SO – we are passing on these savings to you, which means we can do the job for free (plus a grant from EDF Energy)
The terms and conditions are:
• Free cavity wall insulation for all properties up to 120mtrs in size (with a normal 75mm cavity)
• Free loft insulation for all properties up to 80mtrs in size (that have less than 60mm of insulation existing – ie FREE 200mm and 250mm top ups)
• This promotion closes at the end of November 2011
• This offer is only for private homeowners or private renting residents in East Staffordshire Borough Council

The property will be open for the public to view from November 2011. Drop in sessions will be held at the house, 1pm-3pm, Monday to Saturday.
The property will also incorporate meeting room facilities which local community groups will be invited to use free of charge. We will also aim to accommodate out of hours visits from groups/organisations whenever possible.

Home Energy Checks
We are pleased to announce that as part of the Total Place Strategy, the Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service will shortly be rolling out Home Energy Efficiency Checks in the Anglesey ward. These checks will determine where in the home, individuals can save energy and money, by installing simple energy efficiency measures.
The surveys will direct people to available assistance, as many people may be eligible for grants to provide measures such as home insulation.
These surveys will be undertaken and delivered by the Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, in conjunction with Fire Service Home Fire Risk Checks. Come along on the 18th to learn how these will be delivered in the Anglesey area and how they will work. The scheme will be starting shortly.
The energy efficiency checks will be trialled in the Anglesey area initially, although the intention is to roll them out across the whole of East Staffordshire.
Did you know that persons in receipt of certain benefits may be eligible for support under the Warm Front Scheme, the Government’s main grant-funded programme for tackling fuel poverty? This grant scheme provides a package of energy efficiency and heating measures up to the value of £3,500 and can be accessed through www.warmfront.co.uk or 0800 316 2805.

Cycle Scheme
There are a number of nationwide cycle schemes that your organisation can sign up to which allow staff to purchase bicycles through salary sacrifice, which allows them to save on the cost of the bike. ESBC is signed up to Cycle Scheme which supports local businesses, although there are other schemes available. Employees are then required to use their bike to travel to work for some of the time.
Energy Monitors
We lend energy monitors to staff on a weekly basis to allow them to calculate their own carbon footprint. This has provided us with very positive results. follow this link for more information
