Allotment Top Tips

  • You get out of your soil what you put in it - Start a compost heap or buy a compost bin or wormery.
  • Grow foods that are hard to find in the shops like:
    Pink Fir Apple Potatoes
    Ruby Chard
    Squashes
    Artichokes.
  • Remember to rotate crops to prevent the build up of pests and diseases
  • Grow Russian comfrey (Symphytum) to make organic potash-rich liquid feed from the leaves.
